Unfortunately speaking out against the illegal and illegitimate state of Israel's aggression against the Palestinian people is seen as antisemitism by many :(

@SFI1

I have a coworker who was written up for it. Mean while another coworker said some vile things about the Palestinians and didn't get any push back at all.

Everyone is very uneasy about it. We're between a rock and a hard place because expressing any empathy for Palestine is causing people to lose their jobs or any opportunities

Which I don’t understand! Whenever someone support Palestine the opposing side thinks they are in support of the murdering of Israelis.

It’s horrible how some companies are giving into pressure and posting statements supporting the Israeli government. So many Palestinians, Arabs, Muslims, and other people who can relate to this struggle of an oppressed and marginalized group are feeling completely excluded by their employer. My company did not take a political stance thankfully and issued a neutral statement…which to me is much better than giving in to pressure and supporting genocide.

This is a diversity and inclusion group. I stand with diversity and inclusion. Not sure what your comment means but it doesn’t sound like that’s what you stand for and support

My company is pretty quiet for the exact reason as described above, I think everyone in general is keeping their opinions to themselves in fear of offending someone or the other

like

I have seen people actually get jobs opportunities taken away or be blackballed for just posting on their stories about the situation

I have 2.7years of experience and have a CTC of 10.5 L currently.

It's a widely known that product based companies (like MAANG pays handsomely), for software engineer roles and that is what a lot of CS grads strive for ,this is true for MAANG and also a lot of startups, unicorns and other tech companies.

Hi friends! I’m looking for resources to help me be successful in a “Functional Lead” role.

The role is in FinTech
I’m responsible for strategy, comms and key partnerships for a bank product. It reports through Customer Experience but touches product, Ops. marketing. It’s basically a Project Manager role but more nuanced.

Anyone out there in a role like this? Any books. videos or even best practices to share?

Working on introducing ERGs at a company- how did your company decide the first ERGs to start with? How did they communicate the start of ERGs and roll out the structure?

We all have beautiful names and we should all be addressed by those names and the pronouns that we identify with. I particularly like Erik and you can refer to me as He/Him or They/Them.

At MNP, we foster an inclusive and safe environment for all to openly share their pronouns. We respect the pronouns that you choose to identify with.

Definitely took the wrong job. I was offered a seriously competitive salary and great benefits to work at a well funded startup, which is great! Turns out the salary and benefits were meant as lowkey bribes to insure I worked at the company without actually doing any work. Every single suggestion I've made has been shut down and I've been ghosted for several meetings with the CEO. What should I do? Just leave?
