Given the attrition/expiration date on the Associate track, even for bee workers who made it to senior ranks, what are your plans as you grind in Biglaw? Are you proactively saving for when your compensation inevitably tanks? I dont see this outlook among my NYC peers. What happens to overqualified seniors, counsels with no future at their firm? Even at the partner level, it looks like there is no end to the grind. Anyone wished they had pursued an alternative path before their senior yrs?

Has anyone considered shifting from consulting to teaching? Doing PhD from top IIMs and working as faculty?

Hi all! I picked up a part time job as “computer support” a few months ago and have since found myself doing a lot more than anticipated. I handle installation and maintenance of Burglar systems, access control, video surveillance, network systems, POS workstations, VoIP, and payment terminals. I took the job with no “formal” education in tech. My “trainer” at the company was a joke, I basically taught myself everything. What do you think would be a reasonable hourly pay for such a person?
