Bless you PMs.

I've been interviewing with some companies, and now I have to decide between JPMorgan Chase and Globant.
Globant is more innovative, and has remote work. I will enter to work with a Sillicon Valley startup based in San Francisco. The tech stack is React, Nextjs, AWS, and a serverless architecture.
JPM is semi remote, and less innovative. The tech stack Java, SpringBoot and AWS. But I'd do more migration tasks, like dockerize projects and pass them to kubernetes. What would you choose?
AWS cloud application architect. Had an on-site interview with AWS a few days ago and just got an email saying they want to talk to me about next steps. The role is cloud application architect but I want to ask them about the senior cloud application architect role. I have all the relevant experience for that role and feel like I’d be a better fit for that senior role. How should I approach this conversation? Is this even possible? Amazon

I hope you're joking. A private company moderating content does not violate the First Amendment. That's just not how it works.
No, it's called "lying" where people use nowadays with no shame.
I’ve worked at Glassdoor for a decade, directly with our paying customers, and I can ASSURE you this opinion is entirely untrue. My job would have been a lot easier all these years if we could give our paying customers any special treatment 😅 not for nothing, I’ve had customers cancel their contract because they *cannot* control/remove reviews.
We have Community Guidelines and if those are violated then your post may be removed. That’s it.
OP- I’m conflicted on whether I offer some unsolicited advice here, but here goes nothing: I can genuinely appreciate the passion you have for this topic, but some of your subsequent comments seem to escalate the conversation rather than help it. I suggest trying to engage a bit more constructively as you try to get your points across. I can’t help but feel that there’s a lot of “poking the bear” happening here hoping to rile people up. Please consider what you’re saying and how you’re saying it before hitting that post button 🙏🏼

It's really weird how you keep calling it a scam. There wasn't even a scam lol. Did you even read the page you keep linking to?
someone doesn't know the difference between gov and private entities
Your First Amendement rights aren't violated. The first amendment is in context of the people's relationship to the government. Just like I do not have to allow you to come pray or hold an assembly on my lawn, Glassdoor does not have to platform your posts if it doesn't want to.
It is your right to not use this platform if you choose not to. No US law is saying you *have* to use Glassdoor. THAT would be a violation of First Amendment rights.
Companies can ask for a post to be removed from Glassdoor if they feel it violates certain policies.
Another qualified voter...
The first amendment applies only to how the government interacts with us. If this were a government forum then they would be violating your 1st amendment right if they deleted it unless it was something which was illegal. Essentially it is an unanielable right and all the bill of rights restrict the government from becoming completely tyrannical.
Nothing wrong with that, they are not our government. Private parties can do what they want on their websites. As can Google & Facebook
A private company is not violating 1A when they remove posts that fall against their ToS. Why is it that people who scream the most about their rights never understand their rights?
So, I’ll echo what others have said about the first amendment, but I mean, oh yeah, of course they flag or remove posts. What did you think Glassdoor was? It’s a social media site for employees and a marketing platform for employers, It’s LinkedIn-lite.
No one takes the aggregate reviews ratings on Glassdoor seriously, do they?
At one of my last companies we had a generalist in the HR Dept who had as one of her tasks, scraping Glassdoor for negative reviews and then trying to pinpoint who they came from and funneling that up to the CEO.
I mean… again, don’t take Glassdoor seriously.
The amendments protect you from the govt not private entities. It's why kids sites can block most language that can even remotely be considered adult and you don't complain about that so what's problem with a private entity removing what it considers divisive content from the platform?
try harder. this has nothing to do with the first amendment.
well ... It doesnt stop you from saying / typing it .. so you expressed it .. just no one will get a chance to read it .. "Free Speech' doesnt mean "Free Read" or "Free Hear" or "Free Listen to" if you havent discovered yet.. the World is changing you have to decide what you value not just when is suits your position. Put people into office whether prior / present / future that will protect / preserve the constitution and perhaps we will be ok. otherwise . get used to the changes ..
Glasdoor recommended this post in their email newsletter. This post is considered "Tech Buzz" according to the email
I had a post removed from TikTok recently. I was surprised because it was an innocuous post and not offensive to anyone. I've had Amazon remove my reviews of products. The reviews below say this is a private company, and you have no First Amendment rights here. But, the First Amendment addresses public forums, and we must keep in mind Social Media is public. They say they are not, so leave them behind, they are useless if they sensor you and not others.
1st amendment only covers government interference in free speech. There is nothing in the constitution guaranteeing a platform for free speech.
If true, not a great look. A private company has no first amendment obligation to host any speech they don't want though.
Here's to yet another person that doesn't understand the difference between "censorship" and "moderation" -- and veers into baseless wide allegations.
Let us guess which country you are from, and who you voted for.
someone needs to read what the first amendment actually means
They also allow random comments on reviews. Probably disabling my account
Glassdoor is a place to rate employers, not to say vile things about specific people or get into politics. They are not shady. I had an ex employee call someone in our firm vulgar names and Glassdoor took it down, for which I am very grateful. Your information is flat out wrong. There is no protection for hate speech.
I find it hilarious that you are so mad and so entirely ignorant to content moderation, social media, the function of the CFPB, and the Constitution of the United States.
