Slalom Consulting this might be a total long shot, but I recently finished the interview process with slalom and they gave me a *verbal* contingent offer for an incoming contract. However, I just found out I might have to relocate to Boston soon. I would love to stick with slalom as the goal company, but wondering if I could talk to the recruiter about transferring my application to the Boston office? Any advice? TY!

I’m pretty annoyed with the deflated titles.
Give yourself your own title on your resume. Titles are only internal. If you’re a project manager and can speak to your r&r- you’re all set.
That’s fine. Then they ask oh you said you were a project lead for 2 years but our background check says you were a senior consultant. And then you say yeah, those are our internal levels but I was a project lead on my engagements for those 2 years enter leadership experience/proof.
Yea, tbh people in industry understand what the different ZS roles map to. It helps a lot when applying to pharma roles. Outside of life sciences though, I would heavily lean into YoE instead of title.
ZS has deflated titles and the issue is ZS is very Life Sciences heavy so other industries and companies don't realize that a ZS Consultant is likely a tenured SC at Deloitte or maybe a Manager at PwC. (in pharma/life sciences, people will know ZS roles)
I have flight this battle and it is crazy. My comp at Deloitte SC was marginally higher than at ZS Consultant, but Deloitte PMD wanted to bring me in at Consultant, it was a battle to convince them otherwise.
How are you doing at Deloitte? Any regrets? What kind of work are you doing?
