Currently a third year Senior, but looking to jump. How likely can I get an offer as manager at another firm?

What does a manager in big4/protiviti internal audit consulting do? I’m an experienced bank senior auditor and looking to make the switch to IA advisory. Do managers work on outsourced/co-source IA engagements and are they still preparing work papers?

Currently a senior 3 at EY and hope to get promoted to manager next year by October. Is it better to move over to BCG after promotion as a project leader? Or would that not be a lateral move as a EY manager?

I’m starting an MBA program this week and can’t find a job in my field because I’m pivoting away from a musical arts career. Ideas?

Will master's degree help me move in that direction?

So I’ve begun an online certificate program, in hopes it will give me a leg up, as my degree is in a different field. My question is has anyone done the same? And how do they feel it helped? I’m currently a 2nd year associate in commercial finance. I’ve realized I don’t enjoy a a strictly transactional practice. I enjoyed litigation matters as a summer (particularly the adversarial nature). Also, love talking and advising clients. I don’t want the litigation lifestyle and appreciate the in-house opportunities of transactional. Assuming that I could switch (or lateral), I’m thinking I may enjoy employment (and the ability to defend and train/advise). I appreciate any insight.

Regarding the WSJ article.. Can anyone in PE explain why any pension fund would be interested in buying single family homes? Extremely illiquid, historically follows inflation.... Do they think Texas will go the way of CA? Ie/ zoning and artificial cost inflation due to supply constraints by the govt? It just seems to go against what is taught in economics as a sound investment... i guess CALPERS is desperate for yield given how upside down the state is
