Going to a midsize national law firm. Found out they don't provide cell phones to employees. I really don't want to put work stuff on my personal phone. Does anyone use a no-contract phone or something similar for work? I know there's various services like Google Voice, but I want something totally separate from my personal phone.

Why not get a second phone?

Do they reimburse you for cell service? My mid law firm doesn’t provide phones but reimburses monthly service, so I bought a separate phone to use for work and created a new Apple ID to maintain separation from my personal phone.

Both.

You can set it so that the app you use only rings during work hours. Mine is set 9 am to 5 pm. But since I’m part of a group line that no one else seems to pick up anymore, it tends to ring a ring even when I have a day off.

Ring and ring

I'm a third year plaintiff's employment law attorney and I'm looking to move to defense, preferably still in employment law. I received an offer from a midsize firm that primarily focuses on PI with little-to-no employment law practice, so I'll have a bit of a learning curve. Offer is $90k, billable hours of 2100. Is this reasonable? I'm dead-set on leaving my current job, and this would be a $20k pay increase - which makes me believe I'm leaning towards taking it for those reasons only.
