Hi! I just accepted a Relationship Banker II role in Allen, TX. My offer letter was 50k base and 1k guaranteed commission a month first year. I just graduated w a degree in Business Administration. Basically the info I got on how commission works was pretty vague. Anyway I wanted to see what someone I’m their 1st or 2nd year can realistically expect to on average make in commission a year in this role. Also what do bonuses in the role look like? I’m hoping to just hear some ballpark numbers! JPMorgan Chase JPMorgan Chase

Does anyone have any insight into accounting roles at Amazon, particularly in the Arlington/DC area? An Amazon recruiter reached out about accounting roles, but the posts in this bowl are about Seattle. Trying to decide if the culture/wlb/pay is even worth looking into since it sounds like the interview process is intense. Base pay seemed pretty low in other posts, but they were a year old and for Seattle.

Sigfried has a bad rep
Was told they do monthly (quarterly?) calls where the founder just rants and talks none sense
Some people are just sour they couldn’t get an offer with them. They pay very well, and they work with massive clients - which is great for your CV as long as you know how to market yourself.
Meh
If this role is what you want to do, I say go for it. Staying in public will guarantee you more long hours, late nights, and toxic managers/clients for the promise of maybe having a better opportunity come up eventually.
I am more so concerned about the knowledge/experience in PA. I am not sure if the exposure of different business structures I deal with will be the same or not.
If u search their name on this app, ppl have a lot of negative things to say
Honestly everyone I know who left for Sigfried wanted to leave their firm ASAP and couldn’t find another offer quickly. They all hated it and kept looking until they found a more permanent gig.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely different work for each client depending on what they need, but it’s amazing if you’re still in public and not sure which accounting avenue you want to pursue. Plus, it opens up plenty of doors.
Curious what comp is for someone with 4-5 YOE
Depends on COL, but you’ll probably be in the 100-120k and then our bonuses are in the 30-50% range.
Marcum is a good firm. But if you care about PA experience in your resume, then try to go to big4. Good luck.
