I’m having the hardest time finding a new job. I have 12 years of HR experience, a masters in HR, SHRM certification, and all I keep getting are rejection emails. I’ve never experienced this difficult of a time searching for new opportunities. Is this normal once you hit a certain level in your career or is it just me?

Have an offer that’s doubling my TC (think a few hundreds less than a 1m). On the flip side, I have quite a good relationship with my current boss; I have shared the offer with him and I’m shocked he wants to match it. Does it make sense to stay? These are the points I’m considering:

1. Offer is in an industry w/ a better fit based on my interests/background

Got laid off for the first time in my career 3 weeks ago. I have 10 years of PM experience (mostly ecommerce & experimentation). I’m a newly graduate from a community college. My program of study was Health Information Technician. I passed my RHIT exam a month ago, and I’ve been applying to jobs in state, out of state, and remotely to only receive “sorry you were not selected email.”I don’t have experience and I know that’s the reason I’m not getting selected. I’ve applied for receptionist, medical biller/coordinator, and medical clerk. Even with inflation willing to work for minimum wage or less just to gain experience.

One example of personal experience is my ongoing prep for case studies as I'm interviewing with a number of firms.
