Wanted to highlight Prudential Financial’s hiring practices. They rescinded my offer once I attempted to negotiate the salary. The official reason given was that I didn’t “sound excited enough”.
They then admittedly gave the offer to someone who was less qualified. There were other red flags throughout the job offer process that the HR team should overall be ashamed of.

I would do it. I quit Resnick and did the same thing. Got hired by industry about 6 months after being a temp
I've done it. It's real, but risky -- some companies may string you along, but it varies from company to company.
meantime, they are willing to pay me $40/hr and time and a half after 40 hours a week.
Don't do it.
I should add that I was laid off from public accounting. The pro here is that I still get money, experience, and no gap in my resume.
Well in that case do it.

Laying off seniors?
I did it after I was laid off early in my career. The job turned out to be 95% receptionist and 5% accounting and I hated it. But my contact helped me get placed in a direct hire role about a month later. Pro tip: ask how many people they've gone through trying to fill the role. In my case, there were about 8 before me.
