Hii Guys, Could anyone give me some clarity on the below point. I have cleared 2nd round of technical interview at Deloitte, but my candidature is still showing as interview in progress at Deloitte careers page. I had a discussion with HR on this and she told me that next process is pending from management side. It's been almost 10 days since from 2 nd round of interview. How much more time does it gonna take, any idea? Or is it normal. Please help me with this 🙏🙏 .Deloitte

It’s really going to split the pack in terms of associates I think. The strong performers will be fine, but it’s those who are otherwise average or below who will really be impacted who otherwise, ordinarily, would at least least a few years in the job maybe more

It’s gonna be all associates tbh

I’m actually super excited about AI. While people are dooming over it “taking over,” I’m focused on getting very good at using it to make me more efficient and more effective.
AI is super powerful, no doubt. It also produces a lot of slop. It’s not omniscient, it’s not error-free, it has no independent agency. It still requires proper inputs on the front end and judgment/guidance/correction on the back end. As long as that’s true, there’s real opportunity for entrepreneurial lawyers to differentiate themselves by integrating it thoughtfully into their workflow. Cower in the corner about AI taking over, or master the tool & make a killing in the process. Your choice.

You’ll make a lot of money fixing the messes that AI creates.

The hallucination thing is a structural part of the systems. It isn’t going away anytime soon.

I’m concerned about the “trust me” approach we are taking globally on AI.
I’m in structured finance and I think it’s going to massively reduce the amount of diligence that is performed by humans. I’m aware of major firms already relying on AI for diligence and only completing spot checks. I’m not seeing this yet but I expect it will also be used to handle a large amount of form work.

AI is still so randomly completely wrong sometimes. On the average it can save a ton of money for straight forward things, but who wants to be the client that gets completely screwed bc their expensive law firm relied on AI?
Jack Dorsey just proved my point.
I agree, but I think it’s going to be more than just this industry. Banking, accounting, even programming, will be disrupted. Turns out we all should’ve been plumbers lol.
If I was so inclined, I could definitely use AI as it stands now to use associates much less. It will get to the point where an experienced partner could probably handle large swaths of their practice without associates at all if they wanted to. That kills leverage and the very idea of new, experienced partners so no one will want to, but the possibility is something that people need to recognize and consider.
Succession planning isn’t something I’ve observed to be a strength of many law firms so I wouldn’t be surprised…
Depends on your practice. I think my practice area is more AI proof than some others.

The 2000+ billable hour model at certain practices are screwed.
Like most technological innovations it will make some things easier and remove the need to do certain tasks yourself. But the profession will just adapt to use it and will make up the difference by doing more of the higher level work that still is needed.
I think the main challenge is training young associates who learn by doing tasks an AI may be able to do. But to say we are all getting replaced by AI is absurd - indicating you either don’t understand what AI is or you don’t understand the full spectrum of work a lawyer can provide.
I’ve been watching SV types over hype tech products pretty much my whole life. Not sure that really means anything.
You’re not the only one.
Is this because of the 2028 intelligence crisis article? It was interesting, but not the scariest thing I’ve ever read…
I don’t think a judge is going to care if AI is mostly right. It needs to be to 100% right or youre going to risk being sanctioned. Until we get to that level I’m not worried. Plus at every firm I worked at there were so many things about practicing law that was never written down in any book and thus, can’t be used by AI to properly analyze a case.

“The lawyers’ motion also included a description of the governing legal standard that was “peculiar,” Rankin said. The motion correctly cited a federal rule of evidence but then went on to say “Wyoming caselaw reinforces these principles.” To support the assertion about Wyoming caselaw, the motion cited fake federal district court cases.”
