Guys today in KPMG interview the interviewer blasted me for having one offer and trying for others. Then he started to say knowledge gap, KPMG cannot pay as per your demand for your knowledge.

Hi fishes,
I am planning a switch so was going through some salary data for a software engineer. My ex-senior manager recommended me a website: Growceed.com which helped me a lot in getting clarification about a lot of things but I am in doubt whether the average salaries of software engineer mentioned on Growceed.com really that much in top MNC companies.

Just in case you don’t know

Hi all, I just got a job offer at PwC for a senior consultant position. The salary is 30% above my total comp right now, but I’m just worried about the amount of work I will have to put in compared to my amazing work life balance now. Does anyone have any experience moving from industry to consulting? I need some advice on what to do. I’m still early in my career (1.4yoe) so I feel like I shouldn’t care too much about wlb, but at the same time, I don’t want my mental health to suffer either.

Dude don't worry and continue applying.
How long have you known this guy, just 30 mins or 60 mins? Right. But you are letting him effect your decisions that will probably last for more than a year. Forget about this chutiya and continue applying
I have failed many interviews and proud to be part of a prod company. And always be clear to avoid toxic companies and teams. He is a mad guy and god or fate whatever you believe in has shown a warning sign right in the interview itself. If you got shortlisted it means you are a good profile already my friend. That guy will never make a good team in his life. So don't worry or feel low about mad guy u met out of nowhere in this world. And Kpmg, big4 it is all gas. Things in market are very well changing. You can find good working experience and package anywhere. So keep going.
If it still keeps striking in mind, think that you have escaped from a bad team.
I am in my current role after rejecting KPMG offer, which offered better package and remote working and also its a good team to work with.
So never feel low at any point, take examples of many fishes here and keep flying high. Take care
Yea looking ahead

Bhai KPMG jaisi 50 company hai market me. Bina dare Usi waqt gaand maar leta us mc interviewer ki. Aaj ke baad himmat ni karta wo kisi aur ke sath aisa karne ki.
Similar thing had happened with me during LTI interview. I had given him back and also gave negative feedback about the interviewer to my recruiter in email. Zyada se zyada blacklist kar denge, isse zyada kya hi kar sakte. There are 100s of other companies in the market.
Jyada bhaav Mt daal... Be besharam... Inke tarah
In KPMG my first round was taken by a 1year exp guy, wheres mine is more than 5. Atleast, they should have trained him in what to ask. He just googled questions and was asking. I politely refused for next round as I was not sure what's up with the management
I agree knowledge is concern, YOE should never be a matter.
Why was he acting like ki usko apni jeb se salary deni padegi?😂😂 Anyway, chin up, keep applying for other companies. Aise log milte rhege.🙂
Next time just disconnect the call telling them you don't want to continue with the interview.
Agree
A month ago I faced similar situation with another company..I disconnected the call after telling them I didn't want the offer..they were shocked😅
Haha
You should report this to KPMG senior management.
He is not the one deciding your worth and what you can ask for.
Some idiots in HR think that the world revolves around them.
Please report this incident whether you join or not.
Yup it was the interviewer not sure how can I complain now.
Some director called me from KPMG and was talking in hindi, like ye sb tools seekhne milenge aage paise badhane me kaam aenge 😂😂
KPMG managers are the biggest c’s. They think they have achieved everything in life after becoming manager at KPMG
boss whatever you ask that he doesn't earn there, very simple, problem of some person that they think according to their experience and salary they judge accordingly.
Infact don't disclose salary to technical interviewer. Only to be disclosed to HR
Never discuss offers in hand and current package with anybody other than the HR. The technical interviewers are just curious about these, in no way they need to know about these things. Politely decline and don't think about consequences because such people when you later get into their project are either laughing at you for having less package or are jealous/bully you because you have more than them/than they had at your YOE.
Okay point noted.
KPMG is fu*ki*ng Sh*t company I had 2 rounds of interview they know I am in notice period inspite of that after several followups they didn't informed me
Also in interview the questions asked are do you know who tell me the name of 2 female world celebrity or what is your passion , no question asked on skills neither projects
Lol
Hey, dont let someone’s words affect your career. Just ignore. Dont get demotivated and dont stop giving interviews. If possible do drop an email to the HR who reached out to you for the Interview schedule and provide them the feedback so that the same thing will not happen to others when they go for an interview with KPMG.
Yea will do the same
Bro chill, however when he told you KPMG can not pay as per your demand. You should have told him this is my expectation. If KPMG won't pay, some other company will. Cool raho, mast raho.
I gave interview for SAP MM consultant (3 YOE) in KPMG India 3 weeks back and cleared technical round, partner round and later salary discussion with HR also done. Where salary was mutually agreed by HR and all the documents where submitted as per HR request to process the offer letter. After 2 weeks when I called HR for the status, she said approval is pending and you can expect the offer by next week. Then next after a week when I called HR is saying sorry we can’t move ahead with your candidature. I asked Wat is the reason, she just hang up the call.
Thay just got another one much cheaper. Not your fault.
Two things -
1. They should be knowing that you hold one or more offer already and still they decided to call you for interview. It's their choice and they can't question you for that. If I would have been at your place, the interviewer would have left the room crying.
2. The interviewer seems to be stuck at low salary bracket and he took out his frustration on you.
Raise this with HR and usko sunao ache se... tell them that you will never apply for any job in their company.
Yea will talk to HR
It's your fault bro. If someone had tried speaking with me in this manner mai toh maar hi leta uski wahi.
