Maybe. Makes it seem like you’re not that interested.
Seems odd. Did a lot of the things people normally ask come up in the organic conversation?
Warning signs that the interview is a dick.
What department? Could be a little social anxiety.
Yes
You didn’t ask questions or the interviewer didn’t? Were any pronouns used?
Yes. For me it would be, unless you aced the rest of the interview. I want people to ask me more specifics about the culture, the hours, the client relationships, the management structure, the vibe on the team, what’s a typical day in the life of somebody in this role. This is as much you interviewing us as it is us interviewing you. When people don’t have questions, it makes me think they’re unprepared, desperate, or maybe don’t have enough experience to know better. Think of this like a date. You don’t go on a date and just answer the other person’s questions. You ask them a long series of questions as well to see if you want to move to the next level. And if you don’t ask your date anything about themselves, you probably won’t get a second date.
Always ask questions! You’ve got to be curious, right? Some good ones above.
They are interviewing you, yes, but you are interviewing them. The above post gave you some ideas. I ask, “how would you describe the culture?” “How many people report to you?” (If they will be your supervisor.) “what keeps you up at night?” If it is a small company, I want to understand how much time they spend on new business, a little about their business plan for the company, what are they looking to do? ( you want to know are they working on their current biz and getting organic growth or pitching 10 times a month? ) stuff like that.
