Had an interview with EY last Friday. During the interview, the SM mentioned that if the interviewers (SM and M in my case) were still unsure about giving offer, we would do another interview with the partner. Today I was told that I’d have a call with partner next week. So not sure if this is a good or bad sign 🥲 The recruiter said that the interview would be “conversational” so it seems slightly less formal. Has anyone had similar experience?

How bad does it look to quit without anything lined up? My goal would be to build skills I need to learn in order to pivot to an industry I’m more interested in and to build up my resume. Just wondering if not being employed will kill my employability

I have an interview coming up with Church & Dwight. When the recruiter emailed me with 3 interview times I thought he was asking me what time works best. Turns out he was telling me I was scheduled for 3 different interviews for 3 different teams in one day. Has anyone heard of a company doing that or gone through this for an interview? Any thoughts around how to use M&A tax skills for the better good? FDD 🐠 I will be promoted to audit SM in October, however looking to transfer to the FDD practice. Based on discussions with partners in the practice, I would be brought in as an experienced manager with opportunity to promote to senior manager in FDD next year. Is the learning curve steep, or should I push to come in as SM? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Had some interviews with Deloitte this week in FDD was supposed to have 2 more next week but they changed scheduling and said 1 of the partners was busy and the other just wants to do a phone interview rather than video now. Am I being paranoid or is this actually a bad sign
