I’ve been to Greece more than 4 years ago and it’s the only place that I would love to go back again! Unfortunately didn’t get to see all islands, only Santorini and Athens. And that was enough to make me fall in love.
The only main recommendation I should give you is to make sure to rent a car. You please miss so much time to go around if you don’t. It’s a waste of time. I also don’t spend much on very luxurious hotels since I spend most days outside, but that’s your pick. I stayed at a local small bed and breakfast very south of the Santorini island and loved everything about it. The owner was sweet and gave us many recommendations. The ride to the center of island or oia is only 10 mins. I can give you the name of the place if you like. Hope you enjoy your time there.
There’s like 6000 islands… so Greece can offer you everything. What kind of vibe do you want for your holiday? That will help you find the right selection of islands, and will get better recos from here for your original request. Some are better for nightlife, some are better for outdoorsy/activity holidays, some are luxe, some are casual beachside.
Yes, and it was one of the most unforgettable experience I had. My husband and I went on island hopping to Crete, Santorini and all other islands there. Superb experience.
Check out the Nicoletta Ammoudi Suite A on Airbnb! That's where my husband and I spent our vacation and it was straight out of a dream. It had a view and was right off the coast of the Agean Sea. It was unlike any other airbnb we stayed at. I guarantee it won't disappoint.
Here! I spceifically traveled to Alonissos Island to avoid large crowds. It's a genuine hidden paradise. Stayed at Infinity 180 Luxury Suites and everything from comfort to swrvice is excellent.
Peskesi, Crete. I just love the overall atmosphere of it and not to mention the food. Wonderful discovery within a short distance from the park! The restaurant is fairly large, even if the entrance appears to be only a quiet corner.
I recommend going on a Meteora day trip by train from Athens. Enjoy the country side and its beautiful sceneries!
Please visit Acropolis, Athens! Visiting the Acropolis is a highlight of any trip to Athens. The main attraction at the Acropolis is the Parthenon, but there are several key sites. After entering through the main gate, you will pass the theater Odeon of Herodes Atticus, then walk through the Beulé Gate before reaching the Propylaia, which is the dramatic main entrance to the Acropolis. If you look to the right as you are climbing up to the Propylaia, you'll see the Temple of Athena Nike perched up high.
Yes. I went to Santorini a few years back. I stayed at the Astra Suites. It was atop the cliffs at Santorini's highest point and as such have magnificent panoramic views of the caldera and the Aegean Sea.
