Has anyone gone from management consulting to a customer success manager role? I'm in the interview process now for one at Workday. This would be a new type of role for me but I'm selling my change management and consulting experience. I've heard mixed things about the role, as well as a lot of hate towards them, but I'm seeing many openings for CSM roles at various companies, despite what I've also heard about the customer success types of roles soon likely being hit hard by Al soon.

Anyone feel frustrated at times with the super aggressive sales personalities we deal with? My AE is always pushing on every ask no matter how minuscule it is. My vp is super anal about anything we do. I understand these guys pull in huge commissions and bonuses that’s why they are so motivated. However what I personally feel is they just nag us until we do the job according to their spec. Just venting……anyone else feel the same?

Recruiter for big tech company reached out on LinkedIn about a role. I asked about ballpark compensation numbers and they said they’re only comfortable sharing on a live call. Replied that I often receive LinkedIn offers for roles of paycuts around 30-50% so I want to make sure we’re in the same rough range. Recruiter again said she would only share via live call. Is this a red flag?

Convo about mentoring came up recently. I suggested on a whim to a SE to find a sales rep mentor to learn about the mind of a sales person. Never tried it and now I am. Has anyone tried this?
