How did you bring it up to your Development Leader without burning bridges?

An opportunity has come up for me in another practice, and the Partner there has been very supportive of me joining their team. My hesitation is figuring out how to approach the conversation with my current team. I brought up the possibility of moving last year, but my Development Leader wasn’t supportive of it, so I’m concerned.
