I have some good ex colleagues who moved over there and also looked up on LinkedIn and see lots of seemingly smart and accomplished people in their D&A team in the UK.
I'll ask my ex colleagues too, but wanted to see if people here have any opinion or information on this too.
TIA

In conversations with EY right now. They are offering a sign-on to match the year end bonus I’ll loose when moving. They did ask for evidence though - something to prove the numbers.
This is in the UK.
Can I ask which level and area you're joining?
Which country? In the UK it depends on the firm. At EY they usually offer a signing on bonus straight away. Other firms would rather wait for you to cash your bonus and resign than offer you a signing on bonus (don’t ask me why). Sometimes it’s possible to secure a signing on bonus if the team really want you.
Feel like a lot of this is US…
£8k signing bonus + £2k in moving allowance (I moved to the UK for this role) at B4 firm (manager too) last year

Which office do you work at? Is it tier 1, 2 or 3? Also, what salary did you come in at? I’m in the negotiating process right now and your feedback would be very helpful!
Rising Star
This is standard in the US if they need you before you can collect your annual bonus at your prior firm. It's your responsibility to raise this if they don't offer it. Often times the prospective firm is so desperate that they will offer it though.
My husband and I both did
Yes - got a great signing bonus with Deloitte this year. Was asking for more in base than they wanted to give so they came back with a large sign-on bonus to make up for that a bit in the first year
Same here! They really wanted me to join. I mean my bonus wasn’t that great but it brought me up to my yearly ask.
Forgot to mention- Ideally I'd prefer UK responses. I know the US firms are usually a lot more generous
Do mention in your comment if you're not UK based

They offered. I know they do this for international candidates who would need to relocate to the UK. Don't know about UK candidates
