Has anyone here moved from a product lead position to a director of product or VP of product position? What were the 2-3 things you focused on when recruiting that helped you with this pivot?

Considering pivoting into tech. Currently considering Project Management or Presales tech. I understand the general roles of each. Presales seem to make more than PM, so I am leaning towards presales. Curious if any PMs considered presales and why you decided to do Project management instead

Is it a fail of character leaving biglaw? I want to leave, but despite the constant stress and suffering, I can’t avoid feeling like it’s my fault or that maybe I’m over exaggerating how I feel. Currently I work for a small company that does the construction of small cell utility poles and roof top sites for the major cell carriers like VZW, T-mobile, AT&T and so on. I am a project coordinator but I do everything under the sun. Created project tracker. Submitti bids, sourcing material, negotiating price on materials, handling post construction inspections, scheduling sub contractors, notifying stakeholders, coordinating with construction managers - property owners - building management.
