In Atlanta and don't know any m->b and only a couple b->m. Culture is overrated imo. Your experience depends far more on the individuals that you work with / your "tribe"
I beg to differ. Culture is not alike
Bain has better culture than McK ? Being an outsider , I can tell McK people are easier to work with , lot smarter , more diverse . 😎
Maybe OP is a white frat bro who feels more in touch with Bain
Can’t speak to D1’s unfortunate experience but in my neck of the woods (NYC) the transfers are mostly M -> B and not the other way - usually based on culture and lifestyle factors.

That was not the case for the cases I know personally, but I guess we’ll never know for the rest!
I think it matters more if you can find your tribe/people than overall culture. Most people end up working with a core group over time, so finding that is more important.
