To those that look at resumes for hiring: if you see unknown companies listed, would you prefer that the candidate has an added description of what the firm does in addition to experiences? My resume isn't getting picked for large companies like big 4 or T3, and I have a feeling it's because of the company names.

If you go for interview and you sort of know that the person interviewing you might be curious about something on your negative on your resume like why is there a gap or why were you in XX role for so long?

Do you address it pre-emptively? Or does that show insecurity and you leave the elephant in the room and wait till they ask you?

I guess this is more in the case of networking than interview like do you make your own story?

I noticed that most (>80%) of the recruiter messages i get on linkedin are for other consulting roles. Any tips for getting more outreach for industry positions?

I received an offer from big 4 with 60% hike. My managers wants to retain and I asked them to match if you want me to be retained.
Now I got a call from GPM yesterday. He used harsh words like "being greedy" "selfish" etc and offered me 30% in the end.
I politely declined but he asked me to reconsider as he said "it would be unfair for the org for you to leave so soon."

Let me know a proper response.
