I’ve been in my current position (Bookkeeper) for 4 years now. I’m highly interested in taking the PHR, and I’m wondering if I would qualify for the 4 year HR professional job requirement to be eligible to test for the certificate. I work for a small business, therefore I do all the on boarding paperwork/payroll. Any advice is appreciated.

My brother has 8 YOE post his Masters with a US bank in their rates trading division as a software developer- managing, supporting and developing software for pricing trade executions, risk management and reporting requirements for the trading desk. He wants to pivot out of banking and maybe look for an opportunity with FAANG or with MBB/Tier2 consulting. Need your inputs, I have experience in Java Automation for past 2 years.. now my yet join company is using Ruby for Automation. Not a big deal in learning about ruby. Only worried about that if I continue here, in process of learning ruby I might have unlearn java. If I need to come out then openings on Automation with ruby in the market is pretty much less I think..
