I’ve been teaching AP computer science through teach for America for the past few years in boston. I’m looking to transition into the tech world. I studied economics and graduated in 2019 and joined TFA right away. I was recently accepted into the MPCS program at UChicago and I am trying to decide if it is worth the investment. I imagine if I did one of those coding boot camps I could land a decent job as an engineer or product manager - would a masters degree give me that much more leverage

I’m currently at an agency and am pretty sure I want to go brand side. My experience is in health/CPG, so I’m interested in CPG companies (ABM roles - I don’t have a MBA so I realize that may be difficult), traditional tech companies (Amazon, FB etc.) and telehealth/health and wellness start-ups (one medical, roman, billie). Would anyone be willing to do a call with me? I’m really just looking to learn more right now - I’m happy at agency but want to start networking.

A friend of mine has worked at her current job for around 6 years and has never received a raise (not accounting role). She emailed her supervisor to schedule a meeting to discuss compensation adjustment. The supervisor replied saying that they can discuss compensation during her annual review in May. How would you reply to that email?

She likes her job and doesn't really want to look for a new one. But no raises in such is kind of ridiculous, especially in current environment.
