If you started working at a company for like a year as a staff level, for example 2019-present, and this is reflected on LinkedIn, do you guys update any promotions to show it as (the date or year of promotion) -present... or just show it as 2019-present? I’ve seen people do the latter more but is that even right?
Is your company doing annual raises this year? If so, what’s the typical annual raise (%)?
Would you move from D to other Big 4 with only 20k raise (115 -> 135k)? Assuming you need to restart GC process from scratch a year after joining
Expectations for a raise from Associate to Senior Associate at KPMG? I got around 14% my first year as an associate; 20% too high to assume?
Anybody leave big law for a couple of years to raise your kids and successfully rejoined the legal field? Is big law ever an option again?
If the July new hires already start at 2k more than last years October and January hires, how will our raise put those us with a year of experience soon much above them?
Any ideas on how much raise I can expect on promotion to Manager? Currently make 122K as senior.
Congrats to COVID19 promotion list
My PA CPA license is currently in process. I need to get licensed in IL as that’s my home state now but couldn’t apply directly due to not meeting IL education requirements. Should I atleast get my IL application started and submitted and submit the PA license to them whenever I get it? I know it takes like 2 months for them to even get to your application. I’m working up against a promotion so time is essential
Currently a C (level 2, "experienced hire", usually 2+ YOE) but with no experience prior to Deloitte. 1.5 YOE at D and up for promotion to SC in June. I'm a data scientist. What's the realistic GS...
Incompetent senior is up for promotion this year and is mostly likely gonna get promoted cuz she knows how to kiss asses. A couple people on her projects already quit and no associates want to (con’t)
When do you find out about discover? Want to quit after promotion in July but also want to experience Discover.
Piggybacking off the manager post below. SA3 currently at 115k NYC. What kinds of exit opportunities are available for me? Should I stay for promotion? What would I reasonably get?
I’m a junior designer. I want a raise. I just graduated, but I’ve worked as an intern at 9 agencies and as a full time designer at 2. Is that enough experience to ask for a promotion?
What to do when you get a promotion but lower than expected salary adjustment? Does anyone have luck negotiating? Or if you’re happy with work otherwise is it better to just accept.
Can people confirm that they did not get a prorated raise and bonus if they went on maternity leave? Trying to figure out why my numbers are lower than others with a lower rating, wtf
Any consultants got their H1b visa this week?
Partners or whomever can help me understand about billing and hours. To keep things simple, let’s say you only have one staff to work 1,700 billable hours a year on a $60k salary and you have only one job that and the rate charged to the client is $300/hour and an projected hours budget of 1,700 hours. So ideally you would have revenue of $510k. If the staff takes less time partners make less money and if they take more time partners make more money while the staff keeps the same salary?
Leave the office 2 hours after the client leaves and arrive to the office 1 hour before the client gets here...sigh...
Hey, what’s working at Grey like these days? Going strong? Layoffs? Killing it creatively? Shark Tank?
What if your entire consulting career thus far have been a variety of functional roles (BA/PM type) and no expertise in 1 area/technology/industry? How are exit ops to other firms or even industry?
Is equity research really a dying industry? I find it hard to believe when people tell you to stay away. I think regardless of whether you try to build a career In ER, the skill set / exit opportunities are world class. Would love to hear other opinions
Hi All, what would be starting salary (approx.) for management level 8 in Accenture ATCI?
I have been 😂😂😂 all morning all by myself. So, I started taking out my sew in cause this summer heat is killing me. I was about to take down the closure when I suddenly remembered that I had to be on a video call for work. So, I just brushed the closure and positioned myself in front of the camera as if I still have the full hair do. Front view is 💯. Back view is 🙈😂😂😂. When have you all had to improvise while WFH?
Salary range for manager at Deloitte in Chicago?
Seeking advice on how to choose between a mid tier technical accounting advisory offer and Big 4 audit. Worked in audit at a local firm and wanted a bigger platform. Would love to switch to advisory to be more well rounded. Mid tier advisory offers higher salary but also thinking big 4 has a better platform and maybe better exit opportunities in the long run? Insights please.
How many rounds of interviews are normal for a small, independent agency? I’m in the process of interviewing for an associate account executive (entry level) position if that helps! I’ve had a phone screen and one virtual interview with the co-founders so far.
How many of you have seen this email or received it? Nice addition to unlimited vaca policy. Also to the folks who haven’t visited their family since COVID
Took some CS courses in undergrad, but have been functional in cloud strategy for the past year. Applying to entry level SA position, and worried I don’t have the chops to compete with fresh CS grads. What advice do you have?
