I haven’t used this platform but you may have a workplace benefit that includes pre-paid therapy sessions. This would be in addition to your EAP.
My employer uses spring health and we’ve had success with pre-marital counseling. They have folks that specialize all across the board.
Personally I think online couples therapy isn't a proper replacement for in-person therapy, it's too easy to devolve into toxic speaking patterns without someone there in person to mediate. But I will say BetterHelp was a great resource for individual therapy and that ended up bleeding into my relationship so things got better that way. I don't know how Talkspace works but I imagine it's similar to BetterHelp so all I can say is, if you think it will help you two then definitely try it. It does make it a lot easier when you guys have hectic schedules so there isn't any harm in trying right? Good luck.
The only negatives I have heard about online therapy is that some of the sites don’t really vet their “professionals” properly. So I would just double check credentials and that kind of thing, but outside of all that, if you are both on board with it, it could be a very good experience!
