I think that if your office/firm isn’t doing anything with Intuit and you aren’t representing that you work for anyone other than intuit, you’re fine.
I just had an interview with them yesterday and in my area they pay $25/hour
They put you on payroll, so you are W2, with benefits, sicktime, 401k matching up to 6%, and a bonus at the end of tax season.
Please tell me more, is it a remote position ?
I just looked on LinkedIn. They have slot of openings and the ones I see are remote! 👍
Isn't Intuit a Channel 1 (audit) client? If so, I don't think you'd be allowed to do anything with them. I also think you'd have to clear this as secondary employment though Ask Independence.
I’m thinking to do the same thing, now that I’m in industry and have some time for a side hustle.
Let me know how it goes! I’m very interested in doing this after I pass my exams. Do you know what the pay is around?
Thank you!
You will need to clear this with your partners. Secondary employment needs to be reported and approved. It’s not uncommon for accounting jobs to have a clause as part of your emolument that you will not do any accounting/tax type work except for them
