Has this happened to anyone? I accepted a freelance offer from an external recruiter for an in house role. Went through background check and onboarding. I can see my name and info in the contractor timesheet system. Was supposed to start last Wednesday with other new hires but laptop never arrived. Start date pushed to this Wednesday and still no laptop. Meanwhile as of Friday last week, recruiters message is 9.10 start date. Has anyone had several delays in starting a new gig?

Any tips on how to deal with this…my entire team was let go today (was 5, now just me). We functioned as the Marketing team for 4 brands and primarily focused on product launches and sustaining social media content. My plan moving forward is to only focus on the top revenue driving product launches for now and say “no” to basically everything else.
