Has your pipeline and dating slowed down or is it just me?

I find that being a police officer tends to limit my dating pool. I love being a cop don't get me wrong, but I need a little advice on how to navigate the dating world with being an officer. The moment I am transparent about my career, I get ghosted. Then those who do stick around tend to fall in love with my uniform and not me.

I have a wee crush on one of the partners in my firm and I thought he liked me too, but neither of us did anything about it (which is entirely appropriate). That was all pre-Rona. Now I’m leaving the firm and pursuing another opportunity and staying in the same city. Since he’ll no longer be my boss, is there a way to find out if my feeling was correct? How should I go about this? (Especially given Rona?)

Millennials like us always assume we’re about to get fired - I actually have been laid off in a meeting with that title.
