I hate traveling with a coat
I'm just so tired.
Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

Go for the 30k. You’ll thank yourself when the paycheck hits or an unexpected expense pops up.
And never trust a recruiter
Tell the 1st your situation. Allow them to counter. Tell them what you're willing to accept. $30k can have a huge long-term affect on your career. You can definitely adjust on offer 1.
This. If you’re going to take the 30k offer anyway, you have nothing to lose by telling party A the reason as to why you’re rescinding. Put the ball in their court.
30k difference??? Dude.... TRUST me... The one's u signed up for already.. They would not waste a SECOND in laying you off if required.. Even if you were on a visa and would have to deport yourself.
DO NOT waste a second and sign up on the second one and let the first one know.... Fine.... If you want to be nice and polite.. Write back to the first one tomorrow and say that you've received an offer that gives you a promotion and a bump of 30k and while you're really interested in the first one's offer and wouldn't have minded the pay cut becauese the duties were so appealing, , the new offer is sort of a game changer. If they come back with a counter.. Great. If not, tada..
Follow the cash.
If the 1st firm doesn’t budge, tell the partner and recruiter to suck a mean one loll
OP, however if you absolutely hated the second job's duties... Then all bets are off. If you absolutely hate your job, somehow no amount of money(within reasonable limits) seems to be able to compensate
Money trumps
Always follow the money.
Do NOT always follow the money omg. You said the first one is a great job - is the second one also something you want to do?
to back out? Does this happen ever? The recruiter assured me she got as much money for me as she could so i don’t anticipate them coming up any more.
For a nearly $30k difference, I think it's worth going back on the signed offer, assuming everything else is equal.
Talk to the first one. They want you, you want them, but they will understand about 30k. Tell them you prefer them, but the money makes it hard - is there just a little room to move? Then suggest a number, say 5k and a 12 month bonus?
If they really want you, this is a no brainer.
