Have an offer from a CPG company. Base salary is the same moving from HCOL to MCOL. The work is much more interesting(Corp strategy-supply chain design) but the promo path is undefined and I’m set to promo to consultant (20% pay increase) this June or December. Not interested in the work I’m currently doing (implementation), want to move cities, and having a really hard time convincing my managers to roll me off. Goal is b school in 3-4 years. What would you do?

Hi all 🙂👋🏻 Apologies for such a late post. I have an offer of 18 CTC(1L joining bonus) from Larsen & Toubro Infotech & 12.5 fixed from IBM .
My joining in both are in around May last week. Tomorrow my IBM pre onboarding HR will connect with me. Should I ask for a counter offer tomorrow itself?
Or should I ask 2 weeks before joining?
Many told me that companies revise CTC when the joining date is near, else they show less interest. So should I go for it now itself?

I had a behavioral interview with a manager from another team and a case study with the hiring manager. They both took notes as I gave my answers but the first manager was very disinterested from the get go and was distracted as he kept looking away from the screen.
