Heard that D is minimizing base salaries as much as they can
Its ridiculous how high they started off in the process, then dumbed it down. I could see that the bases arent like they were a few years ago.
Take the money with PWC, D isn’t the best place to be recently, especially with respect to how the layoffs keep increasing across several OPs.
I wouldn’t trust that, recently we hired a bunch of ppl based on potential demand and we ended up having them on bench for months and I think rt now leadership is considering layoffs
Oracle finance transformation? Your life is gunna be hell regardless. Take the better money and benefits.
Why do you think so? I mean spent the last 3.5 years of my life working on it. Its not the best but gets the bills paid. Its mundane but niche enough to be always in demand.

PwC is underwhelming, as ex-D, the grass is greener at D, they are also far bigger than us at Oracle.
Can any one in this thread provide a referral to Deloitte or PwC? Ideally I need both

Worked at PwC, heard Deloitte is pretty much the same. My experience was very high expectations coming in with little to no guidance. I recommend going with the hiring team you feel most comfortable with, and that will help you grow. PwC has the better brand, though.
I worked at both…Independence and compliance at DTT is much tougher than PWC. Back office and IT support at DTT is better. Other than that no appreciable difference that won’t be supremely outweighed by the quality of the immediate team you’re working with. It’s been so long I can’t remember much about the expense policy at either firm and they have likely changed. But if you’re 100% travel person that sometimes makes a difference. I will say this if you work on international projects, Deloitte takes amazing care of you. They have a team out of Chicago. I think that will do your taxes for you if you’re on cross border, international projects and you incur so much income overseas that you would have to file in a foreign country.
I’ll second what PwC Indonesia 1 said, 80% of your experience at any of these companies are the immediate 5 to 10 people you work most closely with. You can be at a great company working with a team of turkeys or a bad company with great people and trust me the latter is preferable.
