Anyone with recent experience recruiting for Boston Consulting Group? Got in touch with a recruiter through referral, was directed to submit an application and already finished my pymetrics. Anyone know when I would be able to hear back and what the hiring timeline looks like? Recruiter suggested to get back in a few weeks but isn’t it too slow? McKinsey sent me an invite for 1st interview in a few days after they received my referral.
How did you determine what field to go into?
I applied with EY for a Senior Manager role I had my first stage interview with a senior manager, which I thought went well as I got the partner interview 2 weeks later, and said I'll be contact within 10 day HR. This did not happen so I chased up. Today I received feedback from HR stating that the senior manager, who would have been my peer, said I didn't have enough experience. But the partner who I would have been working under did like me.
Is this normal with EY recruitment

I did it for over a year and a half. It was a special situation and doesn't happen often. I made it work for me and quite liked it however you will not he a good mentor. I had several interns and a junior and it's hard when you can't physically see them (they lose sense of urgency at times) and don't get that face time. It's just not the same doing things over video chat and they feel like it's less of a relationship no matter how often you are in contact. Also you go on less shoots and don't get as much visibility in the office
That’s kind of my fear. An agency really wants me and doesn’t mind me working remote, but I just have a feeling that it will be more of a hassle than it’s worth
