Most will be on work visas then probably verticals hit hardest. Plus a lot of the Financial Services clients are halting hiring in the US including consultants and moving jobs to India. You just can’t beat companies like Cognizant and Wipro offering 20-40 bucks an hour with a 186 hour a month per person commitment.. Of course all the folks are fake. 99% fail client interviews. These companies use fraudulent techniques like lip synch. Know a lot of clients who keep getting gifts from these cos and oblige. Tell them to ensure delivery and keep shut.
Yeah but you worked with PwC offshore teams probably...
PwC should keep quiet.
Heard Santa Claus got COVID. Any news on the Easter Bunny?

Heard <insert_company_name> is going to do layoffs soon.
Source: trust me bro!
Seriously, this post comes up at least once a week with x company
Well Deloitte isn’t having “COVID” layoffs. Just expanded “performance layoffs” and saying everything is 100% normal lol
Deloitte restaurant consulting though :/ still kind of surprising given that could’ve offered redeployment or something else!
Lol that’s what all the firms are saying. Let’s get real these are layoffs
Exactly so irritating
Where did you hear this?

EY is known to overhire. If this is true, it’s consistent with my view
Maybe your school had a better relationship with EY? You don't sound like the brightest person.

for the US, they have not announced that there will be layoffs. What they have announced is that they suspended performance-based separations as of March, but that these would resume in July.
Like most firms, people who are not performing are let go, especially after the year-end performance evaluation process has completed.
What's the impact on the employee if it's tagged as performance based rather than COVID layoff? Would the package be different?
Rising Star
No layoffs have been announced. They're resuming performance based terminations in July, so maybe that's the rumor
