Hello all, I am now working in a product-based firm with a YOE of 6 and a CCTC of 13LPA for a Technical Support role and have received two offers.

Rubrik - Product-based firm Technical Support Role with 20 LPA (18.5 fixed + 1.5 variable), RSU worth 4 LPA, and Other allowance worth 3 LPA.(Already negotiated)

Deloitte USI - Senior Consultant is a position that pays a fixed salary of 25LPA + 10% variable.

Which to choose: career advancement or WLB?

Is there a secondary market for CPA books (outdated) or just throw them away? Thanks.

If the stock market were to tank, incl. all these ridiculous tech valuations, how do you guys think compensation packages will move in competitive fields such as IBD, consulting, big tech?

Based on current environments, I’ve two hypotheses:
1. Comp packages in competitive fields will continue strongly due to: a. less supply of top talent (great resignation), b. less willingness to work demanding jobs (push for wlb), and c. Rising living costs - inflation
2. Comp packages will get readjusted…

I was asked about compensation before the screening call. How much do I ask for TC for a second program manger position that’s non technical in accounting?

My current ctc is 13.8 lpa.Before scheduling L1 interview, HR told me for this role the maximum pay is between 13lpa and 5lpa.. I said ok.. and i have celared the interview as well. HR negotiation is pending. Now if i negotiate for a higher salary.. what will happen? Would they be able to go beyond 15lpa?

I’ll be working in a city neighboring a nearby state where my SO has to perform an essential in-person job. Since I’m not licensed in the state where my SO is working, I’d like to keep my current job where I am licensed but work from the office Monday through Wednesday, drive to the neighboring state Wednesday night and work remote at my SO’s place Thursday-Friday. I’ll keep a home in the city where I’m working. My question is: do I need to tell my boss? (I’d be productive as normal)
