Hello, does anyone have experience with the background check process at Amex? I’m feeling anxious and wondering how long it usually takes. My previous title was Credit Risk Analyst Officer, but on my CV and HireRight I shortened it to Credit Risk Officer because the original title was quite long. I’m worried this may be seen as a discrepancy and affect my offer. I completed the HireRight forms on Monday and have already been asked to resign. Any similar experiences or advice?

My students come to my class first every morning and are really hard to settle. They continue to carry on whatever they were doing on the bus. It takes about 20 min to get them settled down and doing the warm up and the class is only 45 min. Any tips?

A few young partners and counsel at my firm were discussing the student loan moratorium and most of us were convinced we could have paid the majority of our loans off with the bonuses associates got these last two years. How long is too long to try to push back a start date? Getting a formal offer early next week but trying to keep that big law bonus if possible. Firm pays out bonuses Dec 30 & I have a vacation scheduled Dec 19-23 (and was planning on working remotely the week after too). Ideally want to get EOY bonus or negotiate for a signing bonus but is it too much to push for signing bonus and those weeks off? I'm open to working remotely those two weeks but know that may not be the best when I start.
