Hello everyone how are you!

I am currently working for an EPC Offshore Oil and gas company and have 2 years of working experience.
I have an interest to work as a MWD/ Wireline Engineer. And I have applied to major oil and gas service provider companies but all my applications are rejected.
I have a decent knowledge on the well site operations but not getting any platform to start my career.
Any suggestions what I should do. Its been like 2 years as of now.

Is anyone looking to exit corporate life altogether? Trying to balance the emotional gut punch of taking a massive pay cut with the benefits of being able to live a life that is not dictated by the demands of my job.

Looking to exit from 195k base to a sales role base 140 + 40 in guaranteed bonus year 1 to make up for the lengthy sales cycle. I know in the long run total comp through equity and sales commission bonus can be much higher but having a hard time making the jump… mostly my ego to drop drastically in TCO the first year after spending all these years trying to increase base. Still interviewing - unicorn saas account exec. What would you do?

After 2 years as Business Analyst at McKinsey, will I come in as L4 PM at FANG? How about after 4 years as Engagement Manager? L5?

Is it possible to transfer from audit 8 months in to FDD considering this market? I feel undervalued and want to contribute more…

Deciding on a career path

I feel like my brain works like a consultant, and I would enjoy consulting, but I also looove all things finance & investing. While I don’t necessarily have extensive experience in the field (most of what I know is self taught, my major is accounting), I want to get involved in it somehow and learn more.

I currently work in audit, I’m not sure what exit opportunities are an option for me for the investing/finance industry. Feel like chances are are slim. Any advice?

Does anyone have any tips on how to crossover to governmental affairs? I love government work, but I would like to try it from a different perspective.

Other than FAANG and Spotify, what other companies would you consider going client-side?

For the people who earned the SHRM-CP, did you feel it was worth it? I have an indirect HR position, been applying for more HR focused positions and wondering if this would help. Took a role out of desperation and it was a big mistake. The firm was toxic and crazy revolving door. After only a few months I was fired "for cause" even though no cause was actually given. Is this the end of my career?
