Enrolled in an executive MBA program at a top uni, and I have to say I’m very happy I did that vs FT/PT.

Just scored 700 on my GMAT and I feel like a bag of crap. For reference, I put in 300+hrs into my studying, which is overkill but the course I signed up for took this long.

I wanted to use this to strengthen my app to BCG as an experienced hire and possibly for an MBA in the future.

I am thinking about transferring to a much smaller private online program, specifically because they offer a concentration in organizational health, which directly builds on my doctoral research. Does great depth and specialization outweigh the value of a highly respected generalist degree?

Snf vs rehab vs LTAC /// I make 37 in SNF full time, PRN rate is 48/50 per hr. I was offered LTAC position for 30 per hour with 1 year more experience than starting! I feel like I’m drowning because I’m supporting myself and hubby on my salary.

So glad to have found this app. I think that by using this to communicate, we, SLPs can definitely use this app to negotiate and make people recognize our value. I was once an underpaid clinical fellow and looking back, I wish I had more detailed information on compensation and salary. ASHA’s national survey and averages were minimally helpful when local rates across settings can vary so much.

We as a community need to stick together to make the value of SLPs known. When I was just starting in the field for my CFY I was offered $31/hr for a job in an SNF (in 2018). At this time I was fresh out of college and did not know what pay to expect because no one talks about it. - I did not take the job due to it being a little over an hour from my home but later learned that was not a good rate. I currently still feel as if I am underpaid. Add your city, state, setting, pay, etc

I’m moving to TX at the end of May and just started job hunting. I have one offer for teletherapy for $41/hour, but it definitely is not my dream job and I think the compensation is low. Any other SLPs in TX? What setting do you work in and what do you consider a fair wage?

I have my annual review next week. Starting my 7th year at the current job. 13+ years in the field. But my current company is a nonprofit. They are great. But annual raise has always been 2%. So as a tenured SLP, I feel quite underpaid. But I honestly don’t know what is fair - especially for the region (Midwest) and in my speciality (pediatric outpatient rehab). What would you do if your employer at a small private practice consistently demonstrated unethical supervision practices, specially of CFYs to the point where they’ve been sued twice in one year for it?
