Were they giving you buying signals in the intro call? Ask them if input problem they are trying to solve is still a priority and what their timeline is
Lately after a few gentle nudges I just go direct and say can you tell me if this isn’t a good time and we can reconnect next quarter. I’d rather get a firm no than the ghosting. It usually allows them to be transparent and honest.
A couple of those gentle nudges, and then I let them know I’ll be here if they want to get in touch, basically. Be direct at some point. If they aren’t responding at all, there is usually something else holding up the process.
Gentle nudges are classic, but if that doesn’t work, try sending a short, direct message—something like, “Was hoping to close the loop; is this still on your radar?” Sometimes a friendly, no-pressure check-in does the trick.
