Hello fellow BAs!! I just landed a job in business banking with 0 experience in this industry. Wondering what your thoughts are on if you were to start from the beginning, what would you have done differently? What should i focus on? Any tips or advice for a noobie.

Before taking this jump I want to know how is the career growth in IT Hardware, how is the promotion structure in such companies. I’ve been told my company is changing my title from Associate Director of BD to Sales Executive. I’m concerned it reads like a title demotion. Is it just semantics? When non-ad ppl ask you what do you do? In terms of title; do you tell them “copywriter”? Or immediately assume they dont know and might confuse it with copyright infringement, and just end up telling them that you’re a writer or a creative director, and skip the hassle

Right now I’m building out SOP’S for our different departments, as well working with clients guiding them through our pipeline. I get to Analyze data every now and then to help make business decision, but there’s less emphasis on this. What tools or resources should I be utilizing to help myself grow and keep pushing. This company is young and growing.
