I’m currently working at a US-based bank as an AVP with a CTC of ₹41 lakhs. I’m considering opportunities at Barclays and would appreciate your insights.

Should I apply only for VP roles, or is it still reasonable to apply for AVP positions as well? Specifically, does Barclays typically offer a significant hike on a ₹41 lakh CTC for AVP roles, or are there compensation limits at that level?

How hard is it to get into an investment bank for risk? Doing market risk related work (FRM)? And what kind of salary would you be looking at from entry to associate (senior) level ?
