I have worked in finance for 12 years, but I am passionate about working in the upscale hospitality and culinary industry.

I just completed an MBA and want to pivot into this space, very specifically in Omni Resorts and Hotels.

They have a Leadership Program that I have applied to nearly every location, but I need an opportunity here. I have a lot to offer in many skill sets.

What would be the best method to transition from a financial advisory role to a more financial analyst focused position? Is this type of move unheard of/too difficult to do?

I’ve got a friend in Dubai who has experience in IB and VC at junior levels (in London and Dubai) and would like to break into consulting. He’s at a small cap VC at the moment and works not that challenging, and he wants to break into MBB or tier 2 for strategy. Anyone happy to look at his CV?

What made you realize that science was the right path for you?

Longshot post but does anyone have friends at City of Seattle, King County? Just recently got laid off by Accenture and I want to pivot towards work in the community, urban planning, etc. Really just want to do fulfilling work. Looking for a reference! 🙏

Hello, I have been with the same company for 17 years. I am a supervisor for a laboratory in patient services. I worked my way up and currently have no degrees. Has anyone been able to work their way up in a company and then find a similar job with another company? I’m nervous that I’m stuck based on the fact that I don’t have a degree.

I want to move to Europe or New Zealand. I am educated/barred in the US and only speak English. Is this hopeless, or are there opportunities out there for someone like me?

My supervisor gave me 8hours of AWOL because I couldn't show up one day because I was under anxiety. I have gave him letters from psychiatrist,psychologist that I'm passing through this. He didn't care and gave me an AWOL. I want to leave my job because my department is very toxic but I don't want to leave having that on my records.
If I move to another job later on (private or federal) this 8 hours of AWOL will show up?

Returned from maternity leave, I was offered a Revenue Operations Project Manager. I was given a 4% raise (next to nothing), I was asked to sign the paperwork upon my return which was strange. On day 1, got to know almost 4% raise was given to the entire company as compensation adjustment due to inflammation. The manager left the company within 4 days of my joining and now I’m stuck with the sad pay and a hefty job. Not sure what I should be doing?

Feeling frustrated. Accepted a new position a few months ago. Due to company guidelines I only received a small increase. There was no negotiating. I am now Realizing that my direct reports are making considerably more than me. (20-30% more).
