Hello. I am awaiting CA bar exam results. Panicking about the results because either I will be happy or cry. The jobs that I have applied have not been responsive. It feels like the end of the world even if it isn't

That’s normal. You’re entitled to your freak out.
Even if it’s bad news, at least you’ll know where you stand.

Thank you

Perfectly normal reaction. Anyone who says they didn't freak out while waiting for results is either a liar or a robot. There's a ton riding on it. It'd be weird if you weren't anxious. Just ride it out as best you can, you'll know soon enough. Fingers crossed for you.

Thank you so much!

I’ve been there - in your exact spot! One thing I did was occupy my time with other things. In fact, I would try and volunteer somewhere for the day. Get your mind off of you. Helping others releases some of the anxiety. You’ll be fine. I’ll pray for you.

like

Thank you, that's nice of you.

It’s (hopefully) going to be a long career for you and this is just the beginning. I’ve had friends who did not pass initially and they are wonderful lawyers. You’ll be fine either way, just keep focusing on what’s in front of you now.

You’ll soon look back and smile/laugh about it with others! Good luck and congrats in advance!

I recently had an initial interview for a technical recruiter position. The guy on the phone stated that this is not a 9-5 job and long hours are expected. I proceed to ask how much PTO is offered and he said that is not recommend within the first 6 months of working and the harder you work the more PTO you receive. From that conversation, I saw instant red flags. Any thoughts?
