Crossroads Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. I have been with the organization almost 6 years and have accomplished achievement of my MSL (Masters Strategic Leadership) and LOVE the organization…BUT…I am not having any success in moving into a new position…my interviews are great experiences but it seems to be a pattern of not being selected yet encouraged to continue applying…received information from a mentor/manager to ask for candid feedback…when is enough…ENOUGH??
Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

That's very encouraging. You already have a solid teaching foundation, especially in children's education and curriculum development.
I don't think this was a fluke. Many people transition from teaching backgrounds to instructional design because they understand learners' needs better. Your experience teaching both adults and children might actually be an advantage
I was working in L&D at a company from my previous career/field when I started my Master’s Program in ID. I was planning on applying for an internal ID role with the same team after school, except I was laid off within three months of starting the program. I had experience in corporate L&D as a Facilitator. I was a member actively involved in ATD's local chapter and served as a VP for a Committee and worked on the Board for over a year while I was in school. I've been done with my Master’s for just over two years and have applied for hundreds of jobs as a corporate ID and have yet to get so much as an interview in an corporate ID role. Even with a portfolio, networking extensively, and living in a market with plenty of companies with large L&D departments... nothing. You asked for success stories, but be aware that it is also challenging. All that said, I have ended up working using my degree, just not in corporate. Higher Education pays considerably less than I made before in roles that did not require a degree at all, but I am still happy I made the decision to pivot. I'm just lucky that I can afford to make this much less than I did previously. If I wasn't part of a two-income household, I would have been unlikely to stay the course this long.
