Hello! I'm looking to host a virtual team event (5 people) to celebrate the hard work they've done recently... lunch accompanied by some type of fun activity. Looked at virtual escape rooms and they seem to be $1000 for 2 hours... anyone done anything else, besides a free boring trivia game/bingo night, for $200-400 price range?

I don’t have a suggestion but wanted to pop in and say this is so cool, I love how creative you’re getting — I didn’t even know virtual escape rooms were a thing!

like

Thanks!

AirBNB virtual experience have some good options for most price points, and interesting activities!

like

This was an awesome recommendation, I had no idea they had these types of activities! I booked something next week for my team! Thank you!

Scavenger hunts seem to be a big hit. Also, virtual bingo is fun (you could put that budget toward prizes). You should also be able to find some virtual escape rooms that charge by the person.

like

I second this! We have always found bingo to be a huge hit.

That's a very high price for a virtual escape room. I don't know which specific one you looked at, but I've seen many for A LOT less.

we did a virtual murder mystery and that was very fun!

Oooo thanks! What site was it hosted on?

I’m currently working with a senior level HR candidate. This individual has a doctorate in business with a focus in HR, her SPHR, Federal, and private sector experience at the singer level, and has a fabulous personality. I’m curious is anyone else having difficulties play some candidates like this? At this point I’m starting to think it’s racial or her sex based of the lack of interest in this candidate. Any thoughts?

hello! I’m looking to get some insight to see if I’m being paid fairly for where I’m at in my career. I’ve worked at the same company for 2.5 years. This is my first job out of college. Started as an HR Admin, basically in a call center for all HR related inquiries and now am a Sr Admin assisting with escalations, interviewing, training new hires, supporting my team, scheduling, keeping track of stats- phone calls, tickets resolved, etc. I’m making $52k per year and work remote out of MA.

Hello all,

I've just started my new role as HR state manager for a large international law firm.

I'm a male and my admin is female. After working with her for a week and discussing it with my wife, I think my admin is a little smitten for me.

I have no feelings towards her whatsoever and have been nothing but very professional in all interactions.

Was wondering best way to set boundaries from the start?
