Hello all! Does anyone have any advice on steps to take or certifications or anything to go from a HR coordinator to a HR generalist? Or how to make a move into global HR?

Get as much experience as you can in various HR disciplines—such as compensation and benefits, human resources management, labor relations, and talent management. The SHRM-CP may be helpful too.

I believe HRCI has an international certification? If not, the SPHR cert would be good. I don't have SHRM certification so I'm not sure there. Either way, I highly recommend a certification prep course. They are pricey but worth it!

Fellow enterprise tech sales fish, I’m interested to hear your perspective. I’ve been in a rut lately and seriously considering leaving sales. I think it’s primarily fueled by one thing:
After a 6 mo cycle I closed a large deal (4x the average deal size) prior to receiving delayed 2022 comp plans. The deal counts as a 2022 deal. On last years comp plan it would’ve paid out at 10%. This year it pays out at a measly 4%.

How do you/have you navigated your way through and out of these situations?

Has anyone found a way to automate salary certifications?

We get about 3-5 requests daily to fill out salary certifications for our employees in EMEA.

At the moment, we have to do all of them manually. We open a pdf, then open their employee file and plug away. It's tedious and time-consuming, but the banks I found won't accept an internal salary certification for some reason. They're adamant about using their form. Has anyone come across this?

Desperate for help from HR experts!

According to California Law, employers must pay unused vacation. Each year, we are given 33 days of holidays, no accrual. I was just laid off and my employer only paid half of my vacation because it’s mid year. Is this legal?

In hibob it says I had 32.5 days accrued.

Thanks for your help!
