Got 24 hours to respond. I am a finance analyst but offered a job in the team and wondering how hard do they go in on sales? They said no financial targets until year 2 but I’m sceptical.

I’ve never done sales before either and the job involves prospect and account mapping.
I was offered the job due to my transferable skills.
I will be in a small team of 4 but my role is the only business development position.

When I am sourcing, I tend to find candidates who are a great fit but then wouldn’t work for 1 reason or another. for example. 3 months into their current role so the likely hood of wanting to move is low. What tools do you use to make a note of these otherwise perfect candidates? Do you have a spreadsheet? Do you use LinkedIn projects? Just keen to know best practices! Please share away 😊

I spoke with a recruiter recently about a position in her company and before we even began talking about the job, she asked if I needed an sponsorship, I told her no, I dont need one. But she continued to press on the subject until I had to tell her I was a US citizen. I dont know why, but the whole conversation made me extremely uncomfortable. So my question is, can recruiters ask you about your visa/immigration status even when I told her I didnt need a sponsorship??

I was dating someone for about 2.5 years and then we broke up because of COVID and the long distance was making it too difficult to continue. The break up must’ve been like a 4-5 minute FaceTime because I was very distraught. Edward Jones advisor with 30 million AUM and roughly 250k gross production. Been there for almost 4 years. Got an offer at Merrill Lynch to take over a 100 million dollar retirement transition plan in 5 years, or to join a 5 person Merrill Lynch team that manages a lot.

Pros to EJ: Have my own office, a year or two away from partnership, great office setting and client satisfaction.

Pros to Merrill: Bump in compensation, additional tools and services w banking, ability to take over assets.
