Follow up etiquette help needed! I am expecting a job offer at firm one next week or so. I am into the final phases at firm two. Would it be appropriate to email my recruiter from firm one that they are my preference but I’m far along in the process at firm two and ask for an update on where I stand (to hopefully get an offer faster)? Trying to reach recruiter but they are not receiving my calls either from last week.
on Ionboard portal I can see the 50% process has beed completed.

I’m job searching right now and applied for a job I was a little overqualified for just to shoot my shot and get my foot in the door with a great brand. The hiring mgr took the time to email me to tell me I was overqualified and offered to help me get connected to his network. He’s been so kind and helpful and I’m kind of in shock at his generosity. Even if an offer doesn’t come from it, is it weird if I send him a Starbucks gift card or something as a thank you? What’s appropriate?

I sublease an apartment from a friend who is currently in Jail unfortunately. I wasn’t in the lease and the apartment found out from my personal check which I paid for the rent.

They refused the rent and after the three day notification has passed they refused the cashier’s check here in Orange County.

The apartment has put him up for eviction and I feel bad about this cos it was cost savings. Is there anything I can do to save this?
