Help...my 6 mos old demands not simply to be held constantly but to also be carried around. He is only happy on his playmat or jumpy for 10 min max and then demands to be picked up. If you stop walking he begins to fuss. Days without nanny are becoming pointless voids of time and leave spouse and I with tired arms. I actually look forward to diaper changes as they are more fun. Is this normal? And if so, how long does it last? Anything I can do? Do I just let him cry and he grows out of it?

My family mistreated me when I was younger, and now that I don’t live at home, they don’t call or bother to look for me, because frankly, I think they have a hard time admitting what happened - and will never apologize to me either. If I don’t call, or occasionally go see them during the holidays, we would never talk. Some of them are growing old (health-wise), and I’m scared this entire situation is just irreparable. My husband and I just went through a few very difficult months. His mother passed after an aggressive disease and struggle, we had another family member pass, Covid, political climate, +. Just under the surface we are so sad. We have a very easy baby but a young child is still demanding.
