Grant Thornton notoriously pays better than Big 4
Not as reputed as Big 4 in the industry.
If you were in audit or tax, GT might be an ok move. But when you're in Oracle......
Assuming you've already been at PwC for 4 years (campus hire to SA and close to Mgr promotion). If that's the case, a move to GT isn't going to hurt that much in the long term. The promo to Mgr now (nothing is guaranteed if you stay) is a major plus IMO. I don't see this as a bad decision if you feel like it's time to move on.
Major downgrade
Extreme downgrade bro
Don't think short term. I wouldn't recommend it
Looking at moving from Senior Associate to Manager with $25k bump. Worth it?
OP I would not see the money. Think long term. You're losing tons of brand value and their tech practice pipeline will be nothing like pwc. When you're implementing oracle from a client perspective - grant Thornton is not even the 10th name that comes to mind. It will be more risk/business advisory related oracle engagements.
Take it
Interviewed anywhere else ?
@d1 yep, final round with two other consulting firms this week. Promising industry exit opportunity as well.
What level are you at currently @OP...im in the same space
