Hey all, I started a career in supply chain straight of university and now 3-4 years later have lost direction. I want to move up in seniority and pay but I’m not sure how, I am not exactly sure if SCM/procurement has a bright future and if I should consider changing paths. I can’t seem to find out if this is where I’m going to continue to grow. Is anyone here willing to chat? Thank you so much

I am currently in technology procurement & I hate it. Would love to chat with y’all about how you navigated transitioning if that’s okay!

Staying in procurement or strategic sourcing can be quite lucrative. In my search I see position well north of $150k quite often. Software procurement is a good place to be and grow.

I don't really have an answer for that other just start applying. In interviews focus on your negotiating skills and relationship building abilities.

Have you considered Production Planning type role? Many transferable skills. I went from procurement to inventory control to planning. Numbers and analysis are my strong points. It didn’t happen fast, though.

What’s did a day in the life look like in inventory and now planning for you? And how did you prepare for interviews for both roles? @RSCP

Hey Friends, need help!! I am a developer with 1.6 YoE, got placed on-campus (NIT), can code well in Java and Python, but want to move into an analyst type role as I am not sure if I can be a good 'developer'.
Is it an ideal move for a long career, or if I want to do an MBA in future?
If so, could you please suggest how to prepare for such roles in good companies?
I feel a little lost with a lot of self doubt, and possibly need some counselling on this too. Suggestions are welcome.

Any help is appreciated.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated. This transition really means a lot to me and I seem to have hit a wall here

What’s your advise for someone looking to get into soft IP litigation (not an engineering / science major) but have been working in L&E for 3 years now. I want to make the move, but feel like my background makes firms not want me. I’ve applied to a few places but don’t get an interview. I know my litigation skills are top notch — so I don’t know what to do. I started branching out to orgs to network , but any other ideas?

Hello everyone, I am currently 9 months into my first job after graduating with a BCom. I am currently working at KPMG and working towards my CPA. Only issue is I hate it have very little interest in accounting. I have seriously been considering pivoting towards a career in data and analytics by perusing a masters in data analytics or data science. Most people around me strongly encourage me to finish my CPA but I feel like it will add little to no value to a career in analytics. Thoughts?

Accepting an offer in IBD, lateraling over from consulting. Opportunity of a lifetime for me so don’t want to lose it.
But timing is horrible. I joined the Army Reserves before this opportunity was on my radar. Interviewed over several months, got the offer, but shipping out in 1 month for training for 6 months.
Do I irreversibly shoot my career by joining and immediately going on LoA? I obviously haven’t mentioned it in the interview process. Or will this be forgotten a couple years in?

It’s very discouraging to continuously receive these rejection emails. With 9 years of supply chain experience, I am not sure why I would not be able to at least get an interview for entry level roles that require no experience. Not just this one pictured but others as well. I’ve applied to maybe 60 positions since May, both mid level and “entry” and no interviews. I’ve had my resume professionally re-written twice. Not sure where the disconnect is. Anyone else going through this same thing?
