@D2 - good for you! This can really get controversial but I appreciate a better quality of life and the flexibility to use my money for international experiences. Making peasant money in India isn’t going to help me retire early either! And after all, we have so many people in India. Why am I needed to make a difference?

like

No, it’s not worth it for the money. I personally could not deal with it and lost sleep over it. Hence, I moved to Canada. I’ll only return if I’m given the opportunity and flexibility based on terms that I choose.

OP - It is a long shot but you can try. I do know people who have tried this. But there are things that need to come into play one by one.

Curious - why this obsession with US and trying to game the system to just be here? Why not work to develop India? I already made my choice but frustrated that more people don’t share the opinion.

Alternative my foot, cannot have a baby rule the country.. grow up , look for better alternatives. You can silently love pappu, I don't have issues.

It does once you work in Canada or any other country as a M and come back via intercompany transfer

Currently in UK and intend to come back on L1. Except, Trump stopped L visas too. It’s a risk you are taking, but maybe better than staying there with uncertainty

KPMG

If you have already filed a EB2/3 petition you get to keep your priority date so in those cases it’s 12 - 18 months.

like

I’m in Canada currently and trying to do this!

EB1 is backlogged by 4 years now for Indian. So in case you apply maybe in 2021 then you can safely assume 6-7 years of wait even for EB1.

Looking to get a few certifications, I have worked in both IT and HR consulting and am trying to decide between ITIL, SHRM, and PMP. Any thoughts on which would be best for future, quickest to get, hardest test? I get the cert paid for and a bonus upon completion, so trying to decide which one to pursue or the order if I want multiple.

Hey! I've always wanted to get into IB (prestige, money, you name it), however now that I'm in a more laid back environment (better WLB, "easier work") it doesn't seem as attractive as before and the pay is quite good for an analyst level (I think the pay is competitive even comparing with IB's pay in my country) . I wanted to know if anyone had the same experience and what were your thoughts (pursue an MBA and leave your comfort zone and "good pay" or just stick with it). TIA!

L1B to L1A then EBC1 - possible? I’m currently on a L1B at Accenture, based in US which will expire soon and getting extended. Accenture hasn’t been super helpful with my immigration inquires. Do I not qualify for EBC1 since I got my L1A in the country and not prior to transferring with that 1 year managerial experience abroad?

Looking for advice! Ive been with my company a few years now, and although I’ve been given multiple salary bumps I still don’t feel like I’m being paid fairly for my workload. The raises I got were only after team members left and I basically absorbed their roles, and I started off at a very low wage. I’m super thankful for the opportunities I’ve been given and don’t want to come off as money hungry, but based on market research I’m still making well below average salary for my title.
